Want a better way to keep your wine chilled at your next outdoor party? Then it is time to get busy revamping your old picnic table into this ingenious version. This picnic table, designed by Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, features a built-in galvanized steel gutter down the center of the table. Fill it with ice and now you have the perfect cooler for your wine at your next backyard barbecue.
- Measure the width and length of the table plank that you plan to take out. Get a gutter of the same approximate width and length.
- Remove the plank with a hammer and hammer claw. Make sure to pry out all of the nails.
- Insert the gutter and drill a screw into the gutter and side of the adjacent planks. To make it even more sturdy add metal brackets that attach to both table and gutter.
If you aren’t a DIY’er, you can buy this fabulous table starting around $160. Enjoy your BBQ while sipping back on perfectly chilled wine.
